Hello! I'm Simon Holmes, a former technology and business executive. I've travelled extensively, both for business and pleasure, while working for one of the larger consulting firms and volunteering in the not for profit sector. I've always had a keen interest in the outdoors whether walking, skiing, swimming or diving and love to combine this with my enjoyment of photography.

I was inspired to create Escape2Nature when walking the Camino de Santiago, where I met people who were walking with support from their companies. The opportunity to combine photography with time in nature allows Irish organisations, where personnel are more and more becoming exposed to increased stress and the challenges of being connected to work for longer periods, to contribute practically to the development, mental health and wellbeing of their people.

The famous photographer Chase Jarvis once said "the best camera is the one that's with you" and I'm a firm believer in this.
